Prerequisites

All learners will undertake the VTCT Level (ITEC) 2 Award in Infection Prevention (COVID-19) relevant to their qualification.

This course is suitable for hairdressers, barbers, beauty therapists and nail technicians who have already achieved a Level 3 or significant industry experience prior to undertaking this qualification We will ensure that you have the required knowledge, understanding and skills to enrol and successfully achieve this qualification.

Introduction
The VTCT Certificate/Diploma (Level 4) Salon Management (QCF) has been specifically designed for existing or asp rational Salon Managers. Suitable for Hairdressers, Barbers, Beauty Therapists and Nail Technicians, this higher level qualification covers planning products and services based on data analysis, setting operational objectives, public relations, monitoring work practices, stock control and making recommendations to increase salon revenue. You will learn to research, monitor and recommend improvements to ensure the health, safety and security of your salon, becoming a valuable asset to your organisation.

This course prepares you for a role managing a professional Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy salon. Once you have successfully gained the Certificate or Diploma, you can progress to more senior supervisory or managerial salon roles. If you would like to continue your training, you may like to improve skills in specialist business areas such as Accounting or Marketing. This course is suitable for those who currently work or hope to work as a Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy Salon Manager or Supervisor or who want to own and run their own salon business.

What will I learn?

To achieve the Diploma, you need to complete two of the additional units listed below:

  • Apply individual permanent lashes
  • Apply airbrush make-up to the face
  • Laser and light treatments for hair removal

If you wish to choose extra unit from  above you have to pay £ 150 per unit registration.
Assessment process :

This is a fast track part time course. Thorough practical assessment will continue throughout your training and assessment will be given on the day. You have to complete 10 case studies (5 clients x 2 treatments each) and a portfolio index as per your training course.

Each unit is assessed using evidence produced online, through individual and group collaborative presentations, assignments and tasks. You will need to attend all taught sessions. These will be combined with flexible access to our Virtual Learning Environment, Module. You will receive personal tutorial support. Observations, feedback and guidance are provided by supportive staff throughout the duration of the course.

What do I need to bring with me to the course?

You don’t need to bring anything – we will provide all of your training equipment for you. You can buy the full range of products used on your course for each treatment from subscribed seller.

We ask that you wear a therapist tunic to your courses.

As on a fast track training programme student is required to complete home study assignments and it is essential to work on clients in a realistic salon environment. While you are on VTCT training with us we do offer volunteer work experience for students to gain professional competency.

Installment Plan
Unlike other institutes we offer completely interest free instalment plan, there is only one payable fee which can be spread into monthly instalments. Minimum 25% deposit required to hold your place.

However, full payment must be received before completion of the course.
